Noelle James

Noelle James, an Ohio native, initially moved to Richmond to serve as a law clerk for Chief Justice Leroy R. Hassell, Sr. of the Supreme Court of Virginia, and quickly became attached to the city and its business community. After her clerkship, Noelle spent 10 years as a corporate lawyer at Christian & Barton, advising a diverse range of organizations, from startups to public companies, with a focus on intellectual property and technology law. Noelle is now Managing Director of Startup Virginia, a nonprofit startup incubator, and Co-Director of the VentureSouth Virginia angel group. In these roles, Noelle guides founders and cultivates an ecosystem of resources and relationships, helping innovative companies grow and positively impact the community and the local economy.
