Job Description:

The VP of HR will develop and implement HR strategies to attract, retain, and develop a workforce that embodies our mission while ensuring operational excellence across all HR functions. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of HR will be responsible for the following:
Strategic Leadership & Culture Building
-Cultivating a strong, inclusive culture aligned with UZURV’s mission and values.
-Developing HR strategies to address growth challenges and opportunities.
-Fostering a unified, mission-driven identity across a geographically diverse workforce.
-Championing UZURV’s core values, promoting collaboration, shared purpose, and employee recognition.
-Guide engagement, trust, and alignment as the company scales.
Talent Management & Workforce Development
-Designing and executing recruitment strategies, defining positions and assessing candidate
competencies and organizational fit.
-Building training and career development programs to empower employees.
-Engineering and overseeing performance management to align individual goals with company
objectives.
-Coaching managers to execute employee development processes effectively.
-Conducting skill inventories to ensure readiness, foster resource mobility, and manage vacancy risks.
Employee Engagement & Experience
-Creating programs and policies that foster high employee engagement and satisfaction, ensuring every
team member feels valued and supported.
-Establishing open communication channels for feedback, ensuring voices are heard and acted upon.
-Promoting a culture of respect, authenticity, integrity, curiosity, and belonging, with a strong focus on
becoming a leading employer of people with disabilities.
HR Operations & Compliance
-Ensuring HR processes and policies are scalable and compliance with federal, state, and local
regulations.
-Overseeing HR operations, including employee relations, benefits, payroll, and HRIS systems.
-Tracking progress through HR metrics and driving continuous improvement.
We are excited about you because…
-You have 8+ years of progressive HR leadership and management experience, ideally in high-growth or
mission-driven environments.
-You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related
field (Master’s degree preferred).
-You have experience leading HR in a functionally diverse organization with many types of teams,
including both exempt and non-exempt team members.
-You have the ability to lead an organization in the design and implementation of talent management
processes and procedures geared toward talent development, enhancing culture, and driving results.
-You excel at working with executive leadership teams in translating strategic and operational goals into
actionable employee development objectives across the organization and by differing levels of
responsibility.
-You are a subject matter expert in workforce planning, employee engagement, and leadership
development.
-You are fluent in HR technologies and can implement and/or build upon an enterprise level HRIS.
-You are knowledgeable of employment laws and HR best practices.
-You possess exceptional communication, leadership, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building
skills.
-You have high integrity and exceptional commitment to delivering results and have high empathy for
serving underserved communities.
-Certification in HR (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is preferred.
